Cleaning patches? – use cut up paper towels – these work great and are always available.

Easily cleans your Rifle bore with less metal contact then cleaning rods – better for your bore.

Patch Puller: How strong? Every patch puller loop is proof tested to 45 lbs pull when made. So how much is this in reality? It is as hard as I can pull using the 1″ knob handle with one hand. Pulling a tight patch through the barrel only requires 10 to 15 lbs of pull.

The ACME Bore Cable works with all standard 8/32 threaded cleaning tools. You can use your present brushes or other tools you may own. You can also buy brushes or any other accessories at your local gun shop or sporting goods store to work with the ACME Bore Cable. Most all cleaning brushes or cleaning accessories use a 8/32 thread.

How to use the ACME Bore Cable: 

Assembly patch puller loop with a patch inserted or bore brush on end of cable and black nylon pointed guide insert on other end of cable. Insert nylon pointed guide into chamber from open breach and feed it in until nylon guide tip emerges from muzzle. Pull ACME Bore Cable from muzzle end so patch or bore brush feeds into chamber – through barrel and out muzzle end.

Under most circumstances I do not use round knob handle when using the ACME Bore Cable to clean with. Handle is included in case you prefer it or need it for extra pulling power.

Solvent: Ad cleaning solvent to patch during cleaning to help remove bore fowling, powder residue etc. Run patches with solvent until bore is clean. run a few dry patches through barrel to clean excess solvent.

Oil: Lightly oil a patch and pull it through barrel. Next pull a dry patch through to remove any excess oil in barrel. You are done with bore cleaning.

Patch size – how big? I can not tell you exactly, but suggest you start with 1″ x 1″ then test larger sizes  until they run through the bore snug. Note the size at that point and make all future patches this size. Do not try to go to big on patch size as having patches too large is not going to help clean barrel, just make it harder on you to pull to large patch through barrel.

Brush – Using brush to clean barrel:  I suggest only using the brush every 10 cleanings or when you can see inside the barrel that there is lead or brass residue not being removed while using patches. I suggest a special brass or lead removal solvent be used along with the brush to remove the brass or lead fowling in the bore.
